LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Extreme Football Club, on Saturday, September 24, 2022 won a decisive match against Play Football Malawi 0-2 at Maliri Ground to make the list of the Chipiku Premier Division League second round complete.
Justine Honde and Beston Jimu scored for Waliranji based side to send the FDH Bank Cup 2022 semifinalists to the second round.
Extreme FC have now joined Kawinga FC, LUANAR FC and Ngwanje FC from group A who have qualified to the second round. However, following the victory they have finished as group A leaders with 25 points displacing Kawinga FC who have 24.
Play Football MW needed nothing but a win from Saturday’s game which they failed,hence failing to qualify.
The qualification excited Coach Shadreck Masina who said,this is the year they are making their way to TNM Superleague.
He added reaching the semifinal of FDH Bank cup will act as motivation factor.
Silver Strikers Reserve FC, Mbabvi United FC, Kamuzu Barracks RSV and St Gabriel Medicals FC qualified from group B.
Airborne Rangers FC,Villa FC,Support Battalion FC and Wimbe United FC qualified from group C.
The twelve teams will be grouped into two groups of 6.They will be anticipated to play each other in two legs and the top three teams from the two groups will qualify to the final round.
Central Region Football Association (CRFA) and Sponsors Chipiku Stores are anticipated to conduct a draw for the second round on Monday 26th September, 2022 at Civo Stadium.
The games in the second round will start from this coming weekend.
