BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s female dancehall artist Beanca says will go naked in the streets demonstrating against the behavior of rape issues which have of late increased in the country.
Beanca posted on her Facebook page after a series of rape cases have flooded social media of late.
“Zandinyasa!! Every week women are being raped in Malawi. This needs to end. Whether i gain authorisation or not, whether alone or not, I will go to the streets fully naked to demonstrate against rape”, fired up Beanca.
However one of urban music lovers, and producer for her song Sugar on Nyusensi riddim Wa’Lue Valenzano questioned her motive on his facebook post that it is fueling the rape cases, describing her as taking advantage of other people’s misery to increase her fan base.
Valenzano further suggested that Beanca should be arrested if she attempts to do what she has planned.
“Isn’t doing a naked protest not a factor to the rise of rape cases? Amalawitu nzeru zimativuta, she must be arrested for showing men the raw materials for rape”, said Valenzano.
Recently there has been cases of rape and defilement at poly, MBC with the latest being a rumour of a G party outcome at Chanco.
