Fleetwood Haiya is now Malawi’s FA President

…Beats Walter Nyamilandu with 23 against 13 votes…

MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Fleetwood Haiya on Saturday, December 16, 2023, was elected as the new Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President.

Haiya got 23 while his rival the outgoing FAM president Walter Nyamilandu Manda had 13 votes.

This comes as Nyamilandu Manda has been FAM’s president for 19-years.

During the FAM elective conference in Mzuzu, delegates also voted in Christopher Kuyela as the vice president.

Patrick Kapanga, Daudi Mtanthiko, Bernard Harawa and Chimango Munthali have been elected as new FAM executive members.
