Former US President Trump wins historic second impeachment trial

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-Former US President, Donald Trump has emerged victorious after the Senate acquitted him in his historic second impeachment trial that came to an end on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

57 Senators voted that Trump was guilty and should be convicted while 43 voted that he was not guilty of inciting the deadly January 6 riots at the US Capitol.

Since, 67 votes was needed to make up the two-third majority to convict him, Trump got his second acquittal from the senate.

However, it is important to not that seven Republican senators joined the 50 Democrats to find the former Republican President guilty.
