LILONGWE (MaraviPost) — Salvation for All Ministries International (SFAMI), under the leadership of Apostle Clifford Kawinga, has taken its maize charity programme to Mzimba District, reaching 2,800 households under Traditional Authority Ntwalo.
The donation, conducted through SFAMI’s Hope Field Initiative, took place on Saturday at Ezondweni FP School ground, where vulnerable families each received a bag of maize.
Speaking during the distribution, Apostle Kawinga said the Church believes that spiritual support is as important as physical assistance, especially during times of hardship.

“As we distribute food, we are also offering prayers because God alone is the source of true restoration and lasting hope,” said Kawinga.
Receiving the donation on behalf of Traditional Authority Ntwalo, Laston Chirwa thanked SFAMI for the timely support, noting that the area has been severely affected by hunger.
Chirwa appealed to the government to assist the community by rehabilitating local dams to enable irrigation farming, which he said would help prevent recurring food shortages.
One of the beneficiaries, Evelyn Nkhosa, expressed gratitude to SFAMI, saying the donation would help her care for her children.
“This maize will help me a lot. I lost my husband in 1971, and life has been difficult,” she said.
The initiative is part of SFAMI’s ongoing commitment to support vulnerable communities across the country through both humanitarian aid and spiritual outreach.
