Ignorance spirit revealed in Malawi’s Harry B “Tsoka” song

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)– Celebrated Afro tradic soul artist who is also a producer, Harry Overcomer real name Harry B Kamiza Jr born in Malawi but based in Dubai doves into the world of technology and has testified in a single release title Tsoka after mesmerized the country with song “Tears” which was released last year.

Tsoka comes from the concept of bad luck, that Harry got to find himself and his family friends keen on.

However, far most from the real life concept where due to ignorance most have lost the opportunities of life time due to the outer shell of what seemed as a honey comb while in reality it is just a way to destruction.

Actually, Tsoka is in vernacular language “Chichewa” as one of the verse says Kapena mwina adachita kukulozani abale eeh!, koma ngati ili minyama abale yanyanya ah!, pemphani chisumphi alowerelepo ooh! which is from one of the songs among the eight tracks that are in the album dubbed Bukhu and is set to be released soon, this month.

Harry told The Maravi Post that Tsoka is targeting at how Malawi music genre can be viewed from the eyes of young and elders as he has kept so closer to several artists.

“I kept so closer to several artists like, Gidesi Chalamanda, Edgar and Davis, Wisdom Chitedze, Agoloso, and Mzati. These artists stirred me on how they tell great stories that insight Malawian culture in a unique way.

“Looking back from my culture, I thought it wise to show the inner side of me by representing Mayi (mother) Malawi in another great way and provide a legacy to our old tradic songs but in another subjective point,” Harry explained.

Harry said people should anticipate the realness of being content in life by rather getting word by word through making assumptions in his solo project.

The Tsoka video was shot in Nairobi, Kenya and Dubai with ATL Entertainment and the audio was produced at Ghetto records studios in Dubai.

In a separate interview with, the Dubai based ATL Entertainment Producer, Richie-G real name Richard Gitonga appreciated the gesture of Harry Overcomer saying he managed and he came through the video.

Actually Harry was energetic, had focus, was full of psych, he knew what he wanted and in fact he nailed it all through the video.

Richie-G mentioned on to say he loved the African song as it is unique and he sang it well.

When the song ‘Tears’ was released in September 10, 2018 in the second solo project, far most the project saw much success as Malawian television stations and radios played a big role in supporting the talent.
