BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Limbikani Kamlongera has urged all registered voters in the country to take proactive steps in verifying their details on the voters’ roll before the deadline.
She made the call on Thursday during her visit to inspection centers in Mulanje.
Kamlongera emphasized the importance of accurate voter information for a smooth electoral process.
“Verifying your details is crucial to avoid any issues on polling day,” she said.
The MEC Commissioner toured centers in Mitawa, Namasalima, Gambula, Mabanja, and Njedza, where she received positive feedback from stakeholders and registrants.
Despite some areas experiencing low turnout due to rainfall, Kamlongera reported that the exercise progressed well across the 13 districts in the first phase.
The next phase of the inspection is set for May 21-23, 2024, covering additional districts.
