Kenyan angry mob kills man for beating his wife

VIHIGA-(MaraviPost)-A 22-year-old man from Ganyamosi village in Hamisi, Vihiga County, has been killed by an angry mob after he allegedly assaulted his wife.

The area assistant chief Linet Ong’ayo confirmed the tragedy on Monday, March 21, 2022.

According to Ong’ayo, the deceased who was identified as Vincent Dangwali, had a disagreement with his wife and he allegedly beat her, which forcing her to seek refuge at her parents’ home in the neighborhood.

Citizen Digital report indicated that the angry mob descended on the deceased while he was keeping a funeral vigil at a nearby home and lynched him.

Other reports indicated that the deceased was also linked to criminal activities in the area and had an active criminal case in court.

The body of the deceased was transported to Vihiga Referral Hospital for postmortem and Police have launched investigations into the incident.
