BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Poet, writer, Khumbo Mkandawire was motivated by his own family and C4C.
Mkandawire 25, is not only a poet, script writer but is also a gospel artist working on his album that will be released late august and volunteering at Shiloh heritage since 2017.
He obtained his Information Communication Technology certificate in the year 2015.
He was born in a family of three children him being the second born, Khumbo kept on following and listening to Charles Lipenga.
He therefore geared up and started writing poems, khumbo did not stop on just being a poet but also a script writer and his poems motivated him to start composing music as well.
He recounts: “Charles Lipenga has been my role model just to mention a few, and him being a poet I imagined myself to be a poet too one day so from that day I said to myself I will try my level best to be more like the great Charles so from that day I geared up and never backed down to where I am today”.
He has been performing at word alive, city Pentecostal church and normally performs at Haraba that is the arts café every Wednesday.
Mkandawire says: “Lack of resources in the form of funds has been my greatest challenge for me to be able to record the projects. Despite less resources it has not stopped me from pursuing what makes me happy and sharing the gospel of God through my poems and songs”.
Khumbo has encouraged his fans that your creativity is the reactive response to Gods creativity by so they should expect more encouraging and teaching poems from him.
Mkandawire has more than twenty poems and his favourite is titled Love for he writes about God, man and the whole creation of life.
