
According to government media reports, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has reconstituted the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.
The Malawi leader has also established a National Covid-19 Office in the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC).
“The governance structure for the management of the Covid-19 pandemic will comprise a reconstituted Presidential Task Force and a National Secretariat,” reads the statement in part.

The National Covid-19 Secretariat will be headed by a National Covid-19 Coordinator. The Covid-19 Office will be providing daily updates to the nation, according to the statement.
The President will be addressing the nation on Covid-19 on fortnight intervals.
