LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police in the capital Lilongwe are hunting for a 35-year old Arthur Mdala who is on the run after suspected to have stabbed his former girlfriend to death.
The incident happened on Saturday at Chilinde Township in the city at around 8:00pm when the suspect visited the deceased place.
The incident comes barely few days after another Lilongwe man, Kulemeka who is still on run stabbed almost to death Sally Mkwezalamba in area 18 over debt.
According to the eye witness, William Siula brother to the deceased indicated that his sister aged 30 years, who was working as a cashier at Victoria forex bureau met the fate at her home.
Siula told The Maravi Post that on this fateful day night the suspect Mdala called the deceased to have a word with her outside her residence at Chilinde.
The deceased brother added that Miriam insisted that her ex-boyfriend should come home whether into their campus where there was light.
“Upon arrival the Mdala requested for a glass of water but before Miriam delivered the grass of water the suspect draw a knife and stabbed the deceased on the chest and fore arm and immediately M’dala run away.
“Miriam was rushed to hospital and only to be pronounced dead upon arrival at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) due to heavy loss of blood,” disclosed Siula.
Meanwhile, Lilongwe Police station spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula disclosed that are hunting the suspect who is on the run to answer murder charges.
Dandaula therefore is appealing to the general public to alert the police with real particulars of the suspect for arrest.
However, no reasons have been established on what reasons prompted Mdala to gruesomely kill his ex-girlfriend.
