Malawi Government commend Airtel for K9.4 Million donation for training health workers

Airtel Malawi continues to do its best in lessening problems which different government sectors and ordinary people face.

Principal Secretary for Safe Motherhood, Chimwemwe Chipungu, has commended one of Malawi’s leading mobile network, Airtel for the complementing government effort in training of health workers in the country.

 

Airtel on Monday handed over a K9.4Million to safe Mother where it will be used to train health workers.

Chipungu said the money received will go a long way in assisting the people from hard to reach area be able to access quality health services.

Handingover the cheque Airtel PR, ediths Tsilizani said the handover of the cheque is just a continuation of the programme which started in 2012.

Tsilizani said Airtel will continue complementing government effort in uplifting health services in the country.

“We know that government is facing enormous challenges that it cannot do it alone in solving challenges which education and health sector is going through hence our coming as a gesture,” Said
