State house has announced that Malawi leader Peter Mutharika has appointed journalist M’geme Kalirani as press officer replacing Gerald Viola.
Chief Secretary to Government, George Mkondiwa confirmed the development and also said that newly appointed Director of Communications, Dr. Bright Molande replaces Bright Malopa in that post.
Maravi Post has learnt that Kalirani holds a diploma in Journalism and a diploma in Law as well.

This comment is uncalled for. There are many successful people in the world who deliver and are still delivering without university degrees. Here are three examples, Bill Gates (Microsoft), Richard Branson (Virgin Group), and the late Steve Jobs (Apple Computers).
Progress does not depend on education alone, but on the will to succeed at a personal level and as a nation. If you asked me, most Malawians are lazy, so are most Africans, hence slow economic growth, coupled with corrupt tendencies.
