BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Corona virus has not only affected the economy but also social life with countries closing down, even shows getting postponed in the arts and entertainment sector.

Musicians without an alternative source of income are facing uncertainty and will be most affected as they rely on their music career particularly having paying shows.

Wisdom Phanga Manager for musician piksy has told Maravi post that they will encourage artist to venture into different businesses as a way of diversifying.

He further said the situation should serve as a learning period

“When all this passes by, we will be able to encourage each other in venturing into businesses and saving money”. He said

He explained that with this kind of situation, events being canceled and people asked to stay indoors is one good lesson for those in the arts industry to be investing when all is well.

He added that despite Malawi not registering a case of COVID-19, this is a hard time for them in the industry as shows are being postponed but its a lesson.

Malawi has not registered any case, but preventive measures are put in place.
