
NKHOTAKOTA-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police in the district of Likoma have arrested a man for allegedly burning his stepson’s hands after the latter ate fish relish from a pot.
According to Likoma Police Station Publicist, Mcliff Ngulube, the victim, on Friday, went into their house and ate all the relish which was kept for lunch.
When the father asked him about the missing of the relish, the son admitted to have eaten the said relish for he was angry.
This angered the father who finally tied the victim’s both hands with a wire and placed them on a charcoal burner. The victim sustained severe burns on both hands.
The father, Nelson Kauka, who works as a motorcycle taxi operator, has since been charged with acts intended to cause grievous harm which is contrary to Section 235(a) of Penal code.
He will appear before court soon when the Police complete their investigations.
