BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police have confirmed the death of a lawyer working for Ministry of Justice, Trevor Mphalale, who was found hanging inside his Area 51 house in Lilongwe .
National Police Spokesperson, James Kadadzera, confirmed the news of the tragedy in a statement on Wednesday March 16, 2022.
“The deceased was found hanging in the house today. Meanwhile, the body has been sent to Kamuzu Central Hospital pending Postmortem to establish the cause of death,” said Kadadzera.
In his remarks, Mphalale’s college-mate, Chigomegzo Ngulube, described his passing as a shock.
” I was in first year when Trevour was in his final year doing law. He was an outgoing individual and I really loved his personality.
“He was everything I wished to become at the University. To be honest, he was a more of model to me . He was doing law while having fun at the same time. I will forever miss Trevor,” said Ngulube.
Mphalale was, until his death, senior state advocate in the office of Director of Public Prosecutions ( DPP) Chambers.
