Malawi’s Arts, Sports and Culture group pumps in MK500,000 towards Fatsani movie premier

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Arts, Sports and Culture Organization has contributed MK500,000 towards premiering of the most anticipated movie titled Fatsani; A tale of survival schedule to take place at Bingu International Conventional Centre (BICC) square.

The event has attracted a lot of support from various companies including Sky Energy Africa, Eagle sight security services and Homesphere Advertising and Ecoride.

Speaking in an interview Arts, Sports and Culture Organization Chairperson Caleb Thole said they decided to make a contribution towards the event considering that the movie also tackles various social issues.

Thole said it is their wish to see the arts sector  blossoming and coming up with products that can stand the test on the international market describing Fatsani movie as something which is also fit for the global market.

“I feel good to make a contribution towards this movie because it has potential to put our country on the map. And I love the fact that it has also contributed towards job creation to many young people as about 300 youths are involved in the project,” He said

However, Thole said they will continue giving support to the youth that have big dreams in terms of arts.

Operations Director Steve Sukali thanked the organization for the contribution saying the money will help in putting things together including advertisement and other logistics.

Sukali said as days are drawing closer towards the event, there is a need to put all resources together and make sure that all the necessary equipment are secured to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.

He further said,People should expect one the best events ever saying preparations are going on well.
