Malawi’s Dzaleka youth congress seeks support for cultural fashion show

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Despite being refugees in Malawi, youths from Dzaleka camp has put aside their status and have organized cultural show to show case their culture in order promote co-existence.

The Congress’ Founder and director Alain Bitijula told The Maravi Post that the grouping has been facing numerous problems saying the cultural show brings together various school institution, organizations and stake holders that play a role in cultural and education sectors.

Bitijula added that the objective is to raise a presentation of talents with the purpose of attracting the youth in creativity and sensitise the youth in the community against harmful practices within Dzaleka camp and its surrounding area.

He how ever called for organizations and individuals to support the event saying the donors will be given a chance to sell their products and will also be promoted during the event.

“Currently we have received printed t-shirts from Chibuku Malawi but we need more promoters for us to manage the event,” Bitijula added.

The cultural event is expected to held in August this year.
