Writing on his Facebook page, Kaluwa said the demostrations are expected to take place in the Malawi’s commercial city of Blantyre on a date to be announced.

He wrote” We are Planning a Youth Parade. A Solidarity walk to display our stand against Selective Justice. This one is for John Mussa. Let’s Walk the talk and Make a Generational Statement.”

He said currently, he is working on logistics for the planned protest.

Mussa aged 19 was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment with hard labour in June, this year, after being convicted of being possessing the above mentioned illicit drug.

However, his sentence attracted mixed reactions from the general public with some, describing it as harsh.
