ANAMBRA-(MaraviPost)-Onyebuchi Okocha, popular known as Prophet Onyeze Jesus, has been arrested by operatives of the Anambra State Police Command.

Onyeze Jesus who is the Founder of Children of Light Anointing Ministries, Nkpor, Idemili North local Government Area of Anambra State, “will likely be arraigned for various offences on Thursday, 28th January, 2021”

The controversial clergyman made headlines recently after he was seen in a video praying N50 notes on his naked clients in a river, an action which got him into trouble with the Anambra State government.

After apologising for his action, Onyeze Jesus did another video where he slammed Anambra-based pastors for circulating photos and videos of him to blackmail him. He also vowed to raise dead bodies on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

On Monday, 25th January 2021, the state government through a statement issued by Mr C. Don Adinuba, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenement warned Onyeze Jesus against his practices which the government termed ‘criminal and indecent conduct in the name of religion’.

Also, in a related statement, the state Ministry of Health on Wednesday, 27th January, 2021 warned hospitals and mortuaries operating in the state against allowing ‘Onyeze Jesus’ access to their facilities to carry out his widely publicised claim, and planned ‘magic’ that he would raise 7 corpses from the dead on the 28th of January, 2021.

In new report, Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) quoted a police source who said, “Onyeze Jesus is in police custody. He was arrested on Wednesday, 27th January 2021 and will likely be arraigned for various offences on Thursday, 28th January, 2021”.
