Prophet Bushiri bankrolls Malawi women’s football league with MK50 million

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, who is also Goshen Trust chairman on Friday, September 29, 2023, made a significant announcement by sponsoring the women’s football league with a generous donation of MK50 million.

The sponsorship is set to run for one year.

The leader of the Enlightened Christian Church Gathering (ECG), Prophet Bushiri, has further shown his commitment to women’s football by donating an additional MK10 million to the Malawi national women’s football team.

This financial support will greatly assist the team in their preparations for the 2023 COSAFA Senior Women’s Challenge, which is scheduled to take place in Durban, South Africa.

Women’s Football Association chairperson, Adelaide Migogo lauded the Man of God for timely sponsorship towards women’s football.

Prophet Bushiri’s commitment to supporting sports in Malawi extends beyond women’s football.

In the past, he provided invaluable assistance to the Malawi National Football Team, offering a substantial MK44 million donation during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
