LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)– Prophet Shepherd Bushiri wife Mary face fresh arrest following Malawi’s Minister of Homeland Security Richard Chimwendo-Banda signing extradition papers for the couple.
Over the weekend, Malawi Attorney General Dr Chikosa Silungwe has signed the extradition requests allowing Homeland Minister to start the process of sending back Prophet Bushiri and wife Mary to South Africa to face trial on Money laundering and fraud.
The South African government asked the Malawi government to send the two to South Africa where they are to answer charges of fraud and money laundering.
The two jumped bail in South Africa and the South African government has been pushing to have them sent back.
This means the court will have to issue a warrant of arrest for the two to be detained and sent back.
Prophet Bushiri told the nation last month that were in Malawi for safety.
