In a significant boost to Malawi’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, Sparc Systems, a leading ICT solutions service provider, has contributed K13.5 million towards this year’s Information and Communication Technology Association of Malawi (ICTAM) Expo.

The donation was made during a cheque presentation ceremony in Lilongwe, underscoring Sparc Systems’ commitment to promoting a digital future for Malawi.

Sparc Systems Country Manager, Esnor Ward, emphasized the importance of the ICTAM Expo in driving innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth through ICT services.

“We believe that the Expo is a key platform for showcasing the latest ICT trends, technologies, and innovations that can help shape Malawi’s digital future,” Ward said, adding that, “Our contribution is a testament to our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the growth and development of Malawi’s ICT sector.”

ICTAM Vice President, Moses Dossi, hailed Sparc Systems for their generosity, noting that the contribution will go a long way in ensuring the success of the Expo.

“We are grateful for Sparc Systems’ support, which demonstrates their commitment to the ICT sector in Malawi,” Dossi said, adding that,”Their contribution will help us deliver a high-quality Expo that showcases the best of Malawi’s ICT industry.”

In addition to the K13.5 million contribution to the ICTAM Expo, Sparc Systems has also provided K4.9 million in support of the Girls in ICT conference, scheduled to take place tomorrow in Lilongwe.

The conference aims to promote girls’ participation in ICT and encourage them to pursue careers in the field.

The ICTAM Expo is a premier event in Malawi’s ICT calendar, bringing together industry stakeholders, innovators, and policymakers to share knowledge, showcase innovations, and discuss key issues affecting the sector.
