BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Comedian-cum Politician who has been leading anti-government protests against the rising costs of living under President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance Administration says he is not giving-up to lead the demonstrations until things change in the country.

Kalindo said this on Sunday in an audio that Maravi Post has in possession, adding that the group has rebranded its name from Concerned Citizens to Concerned Citizens Timely Voice (CCTV).

“I, Bon Kalindo, the one who has been leading anti-government protests in the country would like to inform you fellow Malawians that from today Sunday, February 13, 2022, we are changing our name we have been known for ” Concerned Citizens” to Concerned Citizens Timely Voice ( CCTV).

“We promise Malawians who have been following us in our previous anti-government demos to remain with us and fight until things change in this country,” said Kalindo in an audio.

Kalindo disclosed that the group will be fully established upon completion of registration processes.

He said as they are preparing to visit and cheer-up Moderate Tropical Storm Ana victims in Nsanje, Chikwawa, Phalombe Mulanje, Thyolo,and Mangochi, they will go with a new name CCTV.

“Soon we will be visiting and cheering up our fellow Malawians who have been affected by Tropical storm Ana in Chikwawa, Nsanje, Phalombe, Mulanje, Thyolo and other southern region districts. Mind you, we will go there not as Concerned Citizens,no. We will go under our new name Concerned Citizens Timely Voice ( CCTV). We have now grown-up and now we need to have a new name,” he disclosed..

He however, urged well-wishers to support the move so they can reach out and touch the flood victims in the said districts at large.

” Let me appreciate those who have started contributing towards our move whereby we plan to assist the Cyclone Ana victims. We appreciate them so much”, he lauded.

Kalindo is known to be a fearless political Activist in the country who once served as UTM’s Director of Youth.

Kalindo has been arrested on several occasions following the mass protests he has been leading across the country against the Tonse -led Government.
