LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Blantyre Kabula,Gertrude Nankhumwa has described President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse government as a worse nightmare which is failing to drive the country to the promised land.
Making her contribution to the State Of Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, February 14, 2022 in the August house, Nankhumwa said people in her area are having worse problems than before.
She said instead of taking people to Canaan, the current regime is failing to fulfill its promises.
Nankhumwa said people of Kabula are demanding for improved well-being through improved heath care infrastructure development and quality education.
She therefore asked government to help the people of Chirimba and Mbayani with heath centers as they have no maternity wards which are currently costing pregnant women and mother lives.
The lawmaker also urged government to provide a fully fledged public school in the area or upgrade South Lunzu Community day secondary school into a conventional secondary school since there is enough space for classroom blocks and hostels.
She added that will continue to care for his people with her own initiative as they await for the government intervention
