LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati has been arrested on assassination attempt which Malawi Police Service are unable to disclose.
But Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya says the arrest borders on allegations of conspiracy to commit a felony.
Kalaya has refused to provide detail of the allegations saying two other suspects have been lined up for arrest.
The arrest comes barely days the party wants to meet to review nomination fees for the convention.
Michael Usi, UTM Veep challenged the party’s exorbitant fees ranging from MK20 million to MK1 million.
