Atupele Muluzi resigns as UDF leader

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s graft bursting agency Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has summoned politician and former United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi over dubious l plot allocations.

According to ACB notice signed by its Director General Martha Chizuma, Muluzi will appear before the bureau on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Muluzi therefore is expected to answer questions relating to the allocation of plot numbers Bwaila 13/127 and 13/128.

The plots were allocated when he was minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.

Muluzi however acknowledged receiving the summon.

“Tomorrow the 10th November 2022, I will avail myself to the Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB) for questioning to aid the Bureau in its investigations.

“As a firm believer in the rule of law and due process of the law, I take this as routine process of the work of the Bureau and no cause for worry for me or my supporters as all things become clear after the process,” he said.

ACB is however failing to summon Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima for being involved in UK bribery case.
