BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-An angry mob in Ndirande township in Blantyre on Thursday morning demolished seven houses in reaction to the alleged killing of a 30-year man by his girlfriend, police have confirmed.
Eye witnesses at the scene claimed that 20-year-old Lexa Kalonga allegedly poisoned her boyfriend, Sandram Gan on Wednesday afternoon.
Maravi Post understand that the deceased used MK50, 000 out of MK350,000 for drinking spear at Ndirande pub called Baghdad
The money was withdrawn through Airtel Money after the deceased gave the suspect pin number.
Upon realising that her boyfriend had such money, the suspect thought of killing Sandram to have the cash.
Both the police and gender activists are yet to make the statement on the matter.
