LILONGWE (Maravipost)– The leader of Salvation for All Ministries International, Apostle Clifford Kawinga, has said the hunger crisis facing Malawi requires collective responsibility and cooperation to support government efforts.

Kawinga made the remarks on Sunday, 25 January, during a visit to Senior Chief Masula Dickson in Lilongwe District, where he donated 2,000 bags of maize to 2,000 households affected by food shortages.

He said the government cannot manage the crisis alone and called upon faith-based organizations, institutions, and private companies to join hands in providing humanitarian assistance.

“We recognize our responsibility as a ministry. That is why, among other initiatives, we have been providing farming inputs to farmers in various districts so that they can engage in agriculture, including irrigation farming, as a way of addressing the hunger problem,” said Kawinga.

Senior Chief Masula expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that many people in the area are currently experiencing severe food shortages.

One of the beneficiaries, Lukiyasi, said the maize donation would greatly help her family, as she struggles to find food to care for her five children.

Apart from distributing the maize, Kawinga also preached the Word of God to people who attended the event.
