BLANTYRE(MaraviPost)—Big Bullets have added an extra gear in their quest to grab the TNM Super League by roping in four more players including the Azam Tigers’ star Isaac Kaliati.
The other players include: Dave Ng’ambi from Civo United, Precious Msosa from Zomba United and Frazer Menyani from Tigers.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) General Secretary Williams Banda confirmed the development to Matindi FM.
But the signing of Kaliati comes few days after Tigers team manager Steve Madeira said the player was not on sale.
“We cannot sell that midfielder. The boy is also very loyal to Azam and he made it clear to us that he doesn’t want to leave,” said Madeira.
Bullets were also chasing the signature of Jaffali Chande of Epac but as of Saturday (today) it is not known whether the player will play for Red Army or Silver Strikers.
Chande, who joined the Silver Strikers camp few days ago was reported to have traveled to Blantyre in his mission to join Bullets.
However, Silver’s team manager Mike Tembo told Galaxy FM that the player is still with the Bankers.
In a related development, Tigers have taken on board four rejected Wanderers’ players to beef up the squad.
The players are Omega Mhone, Diverson Chilemba, Felix Kamwendo and Diverious Mwale.
Madeira confirmed the arrival of four players to the Kau Kau camp.
“We have agreed with Wanderers to sign these players so that we should beat the transfer dead line,” he said.
He said the club wants to sign the players on permanent contract other than loan.
Madeira said the Tigers will enhance the potential of the rejected players, confidently saying they will do well at Tigers.
