LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Police Service (MPS) has finally sacked Superintendent Alexander Ngwala from the Chairmanship of the TNM Super League outfit Blue Eagles FC.
Ngwala was first stripped off his powers weeks ago, which were given to his deputy Ian Mwalungira before the official communication on their Facebook page on Friday 10th March,2023 that he is finally replaced by Assistant Commissioner of Police (A.C.P) Alex Simenti.
The sacking has just come amidst undisclosed reasons.
Ngwala was voted on the position way back in 2021 in what can be described as emergency elections as the committee’s tenure term was not yet over by then.
He was also challenged by A.C.P Alex Simenti during those elections whom he defeated with a landslide margin.
During his tenure as Chairman of the club, Ngwala managed to win Airtel Top 8 in 2018, FISD Challenge Cup. He helped the team finish on position two in the country’s elite league breaking the record of the team since its establishment.
Meanwhile the team has also communicated that Superintendent Gift Likoswe is the new vice General Secretary replacing Solomon Gomezgani Mchawi who resigned after assuming the role of SULOM Legal Advisor.
