Breaking news; Malawi registers first COVID-19 death in Blantyre

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Reports reaching The Maravi Post on Tuesday, morning, April 7, 2020 reveal Malawi has now first COVID-19 death in Blantyre.

This follows the critical condition the patient was diagnosed with the virus a week ago.

Sources told the publication that deceased is a woman, Marhoom Rehana Kali from Blantyre.

Malawi authorities are yet to make official communication on the matter.

As of Monday, April 5, 2020 Malawi registered five COVID-19 cases, three in Lilongwe while two Blantyre.
