BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Civo Stadium is expected to turn into a boiling pot of emotions this afternoon with the latest staging of the explosive presidential cup final between Nyasa Big Bullets and Moyale Barracks.
As usual, supporters of both sides have been gripped with football fever in the countdown to the battle for supremacy in the country’s elite cup.
The Kaning’ina soldiers, who will be gunning for maiden title this afternoon, have promised to put a gallant fight so that the cup goes to the Northern region for the first time since its inception in 2009.
“We are ready for the game and we are looking forward to winning this Saturday. We are hoping to make history in as far Presidential Cup is concerned,” said Collins Nkuna, coach for the Moyale in an interview with MBC.
While Bullets FC Team Manager Rahim Ishmael said that they are not shaken as they are equally prepared for the “must win game”.
“Much as we will miss a number of regular players due to injuries and yellow cards, our house is in order and ready for Saturday’s game and we hope to return to Blantyre with the Cup,” said Ishmael.
Moyale Barracks marched through to the final stage of the Presidential Cup after beating Mighty Be Forward Wanderers 1-0 at Mzuzu Stadium two weeks ago While Nyasa Big Bullets beat Salima based soldiers, Mafco FC 3-0.
