Bullets Reserve date Silver in Dimba trophy finals

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve have reached the finals of Aubrey Dimba MK2.5 million Trophy after defeating Kamuzu Barracks RSV by two goals to one in the semifinals played at Dimba ground Kapiri-Mchinji to meet Silver Reserve in finals and revival the rivalry of their senior teams.

Emmanuel Saviel and Chikumbutso Salima scored in 31st and 35th minute respectively after Kamuzu Barracks defenders failed to communicate and coordinate well.

John Banda pulled one back at 84th minute after Bullets goalie failed to clear the powerful shot from the midfielder hence directing it into his own net.Kamuzu Barracks RSV started on a high note in the first minutes but lacked composure when attacking hence Bullets took over the charge of the game from 10th minute up to the final whistle of the first half.First half ended two nil with Enos Chatama boys comfortably leading.

Second half,Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve struggled to break through Kamuzu Barracks RSV midfield and forced to stay in their own half playing containment football despite making several attacks through Chikumbutso Salima,

Emmanuel Saviel and Patrick Mwangulu.Young Soldiers dominated second half no wonder they got that consolation goal.William Chidambo assisted by Makangano Pilingu and Clisford Papiyoni who controlled the game in a professional manner blew the whistle to end the match,and yes Bullets Reserve confirmed their fourth finals of the year after grabbing SRFA Thumbs Up league, PowerStart top 8 and the inaugural MK5 million Nyasa Capital Finance Regional Cup in the Southern Region.

Enos Chatama, Bullets Reserve Coach, was delighted reaching the finals saying they attribute the win to the boys grant performance despite struggling in the second half describing it as a good game.

Chatama further said,they are ready to face Silver Strikers Reserve in the finals which he said,he knows a good number of players in Silver were under his charge hence won’t be a difficult game.

He added his boys will be on their usual form to win the rivalry battle started by their senior brothers.

Kamuzu Barracks RSV Assistant Coach, Blessings Kawanga, acknowledged the defeat saying their defenders let them down in the first half hence conceding what he described as silly and give away goals.

He then wished their counterparts all the best in the finals and promise to come strong in the next season as they had poor performance in Chipiku Premier division and lost finals of Nyasa Capital Finance Regional Cup which they lost to Silver Strikers Reserve by six goals to two and semifinals in Dimba MK2.5 million Trophy.

The owner of the Trophy Aubrey Dimba was impressed with the turn up and promised to add security and involve good officiating team in the finals on 2nd January, 2022.

Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve will battle it out against Silver Strikers Reserve in the finals on 2nd January,2022.The winner will pocket home MK1 million while runners up will take home MK500,000.
