1 Min Read

Former Flames’ coach Kinnah Phiri has been exempted from full CAF A Licence by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which will start on April 1 2015 at Chiwembe Technical Centre.

Kinnah confirmed the development to The Nation Newspaper.

The exemption has given Kinnah chance to help his club Free State Stars in their fight against relegation in South Africa.

“Our group will attend the course for only four days, between May and June. This works to my advantage as my employers were not going to allow me to leave now,” Kinnah was quoted as saying in The Nation.

According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) technical director John Kaputa, Kinnah hs been exempted owing to his rich national team coaching and playing experience and Uefa B licence he holds.

Other exempted coaches include Jack Chamangwana, Young Chimodzi,Enerst Mtawali and Stan Chirwa.
