Assu’s agent Prince Jere confirmed that the player signed a one year contract with the Lai Lubani Road oufit.

But Jere said Wanderers would be pay the remaining K2 million in due course.

“Assu has signed a one-year contract and hopefully Wanderers will use him this week,” Jere said.

He said he was happy that both parties had concluded the deal.

“Obviously we are happy that he has signed the contract and that both parties are happy with the move,” he said.

Assu has been given jersey number 10 which is coincidentally used by his Argentine namesake Lionel Messi, of Spanish giants Barcelona.
