Chilima fired up

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Vice President and who is also UTM leader Dr. Saulos Chilima says will not labour himself into electoral alliance of personal benefits than that of the needs of Malawians.

Chilima told the news conference on Wednesday morning in the capital Lilongwe that any meaningful electoral alliance ahead of fresh elections should have clear agenda for Malawians than political gurus interest.

He was responding calls for UTM party to tally with any party ahead of fresh elections to attain 50 plus on votes % as requirements for the overall winner.

The UTM leader however demand immediate resignation of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) commissioners including its embattled Chairperson, Dr. Jane Ansah for being faulted by Constitutional Court (ConCourt).

The VP hinted that MEC officials do not deserve any duties to serve the nation due to misguided work of conduct.

Chilima also warned Malawi Broadcast Corporation (MBC) staffs with influence of ruling parties urging them to learn from the past on mistakes their colleagues made.

The UTM leader therefore told supporters that the party will use 2019 Manifesto ahead fresh elections.
