…..Eagles 5-0 Nsaru

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Central Region Division One outfit Nsaru United’ form in the FAM MOTO has deteriorated as on Thursday they were thrashed 5-0 by Blue Eagles Reserve at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.
The host broke the dead lock at 4th minute into the game through Checkson Alinzi, Nsaru went into recess whilst trailing 1-0.
At the beginning of the second stanza, Eagles got the second goal through Umar Mustapha in the 50th minute, as the visitors were busy to reorganize themselves Ajusa Kalowa extended the lead to 3-0 in the 56th minute.
Eagles continued spitting fire, attacking dangerously and coming wave after wave in the enemies’ territory, in the 73rd minute Umar Mustapha scored his second goal with a simple tap utilizing Nsaru United’s poor defending.
Precious Segula put the ice on the cake for the young Eagles in the 77th minute.
Nsaru United wasted their chances through Joseph Kampama and Moshas Lyford and the loss made them to remain in danger of being relegated from the league as they have 16 points from 14 games sitting on position 10.
Head Coach Gersom Masache acknowledged the defeat to Eagles Reserve and attributed it to fatigue in his players.
“We accept the defeat today and this is due to fatigue amongst my boys. I have a very youthful side so with many games being played we slowly lost the rhythm. We just need to encourage them to have endurance ’til we finish the league”, Masache said.
Blue Eagles Reserve head coach Ackim Kazombo said, they played well hence the result, He then warned his boys against relaxation saying there is still a long way to go before they move within top four.
Eagles Reserve have now managed to win 5 games, drew 3 and lost 7 currently sitting on position 8 with 18 points.
Mitundu Baptist and Young Professionals are still the title contenders in the Central Region FAM MOTO Division league. Mitundu has 31 points on position 1 while Young Professionals have 26 points on position 2 from 14 games played.
Three top teams at the end of the season will get promotion into the Central Region Chipiku Premier division league.
