Morocco don’t support African countries

The Atlas Lions of Morocco is not for Africa , despite being on the African Continent .

In 1963 , Morocco refused to sign a commitment to support the decolonization of South Africa , Angola , and Mozambique .

In 1984 , Morocco withdrew from the Organization of African Unity ( OAU ) , now AU, a decision which followed her acceptance of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic as a member state.

In 1987 , applied to join the European Commission ( EC ) now EU, but was rejected.

In 2004 , when South Africa bid to host the 2006 World Cup , Morocco voted against South Africa to allow Germany win the bid.

In November 2014 , Morocco withdrew from hosting the January 2015 edition of the African Cup of Nations ( AFCON ) , only two months to the tournament start.

They claimed that they did not want Ebola to spread to their country. But a few months later , they organized the Club World Cup.

In 2022 , at the ongoing FIFA World Cup , after their win against Portugal , they dedicate their win to Arabs around the World.

Morocco see them as Africa’s representative but they see themselves as not part of African Continent.
