LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-One of the country’s Human rights activists Chimwemwe Mbeya Mhango Ntchindi is appealing for unity among the northerners amid undeveloped communities.
Mhango observes that flourishing unity and tranquility are recipe for meaningful development.
The activist however has rebuked governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)’s Vice President Jappie Mhango for uncivilised partisan politics arguing that the tendency will continue costing the northern region”s development agenda.
Mbeya wondered why Jappie could demean his fellow northerner-Second Vice President Enoch Chihana for partisan and rhetoric politics during campaign period for just ended Rumphi Central Constituency By-elections.
“Why belittling each other as northern region brothers over partisan politics? Is this what our undeveloped communities expect from us in positions? We can do better”, queries Mhango.
The activist observes further, “The northern region has well-learned individuals but we don’t love each for the sake of block’s development.
“This is the reason the northern region has been always used to put others in power forsakening the block’s needs”.
Therefore, the former Malawi Defence Force (MDF) officer Mhango appeals, “It’s high time northerners could stand together advancing the region’s development agenda.
“Our communities want good road networks, school blocks, health facilities, portable water and among others.
“We need to desist from pulling each other down and being used. We should unite as one family”.
