BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera has refused to rate himself on how he has been performing in the last two years in power.
He was speaking on Monday night, April 25, 2022 at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe during a press briefing where he was updating Malawians on his four day Mozambican trip.
Chakwera instead said Malawians are the ones to rate him on performance since are on the ground to appreciate his work.
“It’s not right to rate how I have performed or how I am performing. Let Malawians give me a performance rate since they are the ones who see my work on the ground,” said Chakwera.
Responding to CCAP Nkhoma Synod pastoral letter which criticizes his Tonse Alliance Administration being full of corruption and nepotism, Chakwera said he accepted the letter and understands it as any Christian.
He said, as a leader, he will go through and consider the concerns contained in the letter.
Chakwera and his administration have been always faulting COVID-19 pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war being the major factors contributing to their poor performance.
Some citizenry feel Chakwera is proven to be a worst leader Malawi has ever had following the high cost of living, nepotism, corruption, among other life hardships under his Tonse Alliance Administration.
