LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The MK8.3 million Nyasa Capital Finance Cup in the Central Region enters second week on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 with two exciting fixtures.

St Gabriel Medicals FC entertain Ekas Freight Wanderers FC at Namitondo ground in Namitete while Extreme FC host Kawinga FC in what can be named as a grudge battle considering the results of the teams in a previous meetings.

Extreme FC who defeated Ekas Freight Wanderers FC 0-2 at Kamuzu Barracks ground in Lilongwe last week courtesy of Beston Jimu’s 67th minute and Emanuel Mbwezo’s header at 85th minute lead the four team log table with 3 points.

In previous five meetings between the two teams, Extreme FC have managed to win once while the four fixtures ended with the two equaling power.

However when the two meets there has been a tough battle and either side sweats for the money.

Chifuniro Chimkokomo of Extreme FC says they have prepared well for the fight and ready to continue spiting fire in the Nyasa Cup and eventually win it.

He added the three points over Kawinga FC will motivate them on their way as they will maintain their lead on the table.

Chimkokomo acknowledged he anticipate a tough battle over Kawinga FC at home Waliranji ground.

His counterpart Harry Saidi, Coach for Kawinga FC, was upbeat of winning away in Mchinji and revive their hopes of winning the cup this season while acknowledging Extreme FC are a good side.

Kawinga FC drew 1-1 against St Gabriel Medicals FC in their first game at Maliri ground last week.

St Gabriel Medicals FC coach, Martin Mthetho Mkamanga, cried foul last week in their draw game against Kawinga FC over a poor officiation which saw his player Samson Singano receiving a red card at 80th minute and conceding what he said a dubious penalty at 85th minute which helped the host Kawinga to get a vital point.

While Ekas Freight Wanderers FC Coach Yassin Zidana attributed their 0-2 loss to Extreme FC to lack of composure and marksmanship in his boys as they created a good number of chances. He however vowed to win their next game tomorrow against St Gabriel Medicals FC away in Namitondo.

First week of the Nyasa Capital Finance Cup produced 4 goals with one penalty to Kawinga FC and one red card which went to Samson Singano of St Gabriel Medicals FC.

This year’s Nyasa Capital Finance Champion will get MK1.5 million while second placed will walk home with MK600,000 and third placed getting MK250,000,fourth placed gets MK150,000.
