BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police Police in Chiradzulu are keeping in custody 74-year-old female gospel preacher Jessie Window for allegedly wounding an elderly man with disabilities in an attempt to straighten his legs through prayers.
According to Eastern Region Police Spokesperson, Edward Kabango,the suspect was picked up from Chiradzulu district hospital last night, where she was cheering on the victim, Abel Manyamula, 70, who is currently admitted to the hospital.
“The incident happened earlier this week when the suspect went to the victim’s Mangilani village, Traditional Authority Ntchema in the district, for some overnight players,” says Kabango.
The suspect Window comes from Nyandero Village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Malemia in Nsanje district, while the victim Abel Manyamula hails from Mangilani Village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Ntchema in Chiradzulu.
