BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Patriotic Citizens Party (PCP) was launched on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Nyambadwe in Blantyre, with Jordan Sauti at the helm as its president.

Sauti emphasized the importance of education in nation-building, citing it as a key factor in developing a country.

He highlighted PCP’s commitment to making education accessible to all Malawians, particularly the economically disadvantaged, by potentially removing school fees for Secondary Schoos.

Sauti described PCP as an action-oriented party focused on offering solutions to Malawi’s challenges.

He emphasized the party’s fresh and youthful energy, which he believes will bring about change and provide solutions to the country’s problems.

Sauti also highlighted his own expertise in mining, gained from working in different countries, and expressed confidence in his ability to drive positive change in Malawi.

The party’s launch comes at a time when many Malawians are seeking change, and Sauti is optimistic about PCP’s prospects.

He announced plans to collect nominations the following week, demonstrating his commitment to registering the party and participating in the electoral process.

This means Malawi has 25 political parties.
