Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal rebukes Judge Ivy Kamanga on Unlawful Norman Chisale political detention

Justice Ivy Kamanga wondered how Chisale, a person allegedly with mental issues, can be signing affidavits

The Supreme Court of Appeal has ordered the unconditional release of former president Peter Mutharika’s bodyguard, Norman Chisale.

Chisale’s lawyer Chancy Gondwe has confirmed the development.

However just last week the only woman on the five Panel Concourt judge, Ivy Kamanga, still enjoying her fame enforced the illegal detention of Norman Chisale.

reports reaching our publication say once again the high court in Lilongwe has rebuffed Norman Chisale on his second application for bail in the case of the murder of Issa Njauju.

Even though the evidence is sketchy, Judge Ivy Kamanga (the one of ConCourt fame) and a political hack,  ordered that Chisale be referred to the Mental hospital in Zomba for medical and mental examination before any court may ascertain his bail application.

Now we wonder what had his mental status had anything to do with his politically motivated detention.

Chisale should thank the almighty that there are still some Judges in Malawi with Integrity.

Shame on Ivy Kamanga.
