#Malawi’s Cyclone Freddy impact: Schools closure extended till Friday

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Ministry of Education has extended temporary closure of schools in the southern region over Tropical Cyclone Freddy impact.

Minister of Education Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima says government has extended the temporary closure of schools in 10 Southern Region districts following the continued heavy downpour being experienced in the region.

She says schools will remain closed up to Friday this week.

Impact of Cyclone Freddy in Malawi

The Cyclone has so far killed over 100 people while displacing 10,000 households.
