MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-The catholic Diocese of Mzuzu in Malawi has suspended Rev. Fr. Charles Mukhalira Chiuta Dhlovu of the Diocese from all priestly work and other functions.
This was disclosed in a circular issued on Saturday November 14 signed by Rev. Bishop John Ryan of Mzuzu diocese.
In the circular letter, Bishop Ryan without disclosing reasons for Fr. Charles’ suspension said the suspension includes him not residing in any of diocesan house or facility.
This comes few weeks after Fr. Charles was captured alongside a female staff dressed for leisure which sparkled massive criticisms.
The picture that went viral displayed the clergyman at the shore of beach with a lady identified as Grace Mwiwa in cosy outfits as they attended a beach party in Salima organized by the church.
Mwiwa, who works as a presenter at the church’s radio station Tigawane radio reportedly received a recent boost in her career due to her relationship with the priest who is also in charge of the church-run media station.
Meanwhile, Bishop John Alphonsus Ryan has asked members of the congregation to mention the reverend father during prayers throughout the difficult time.
