MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-Former Peoples Party (PP) parliamentarian for Nkhata Bay Central Constituency, Ralph Joseph Mhone, who lost the 21 May polls has appealed against the Mzuzu High Court judgment which was passed in favour of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Simon Vuwa Kaunda.

In the Notice of Appeal dated 1st October, 2019, Mhone who is represented by Racane Associates Law Firm, argues that the Supreme Court of Appeal has to review the judgment which was passed by the lower court  on 16 September, 2019.

In his ruling, Ligowe said among others Mhone did not provide substantial evidence that Vuwa Kaunda rigged the elections in the constituency; apart from mere hearsies from his monitors.

Efforts to draw reactions Vuwa Kaunda, who is currently the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development,  and his lawyer Leonard Mbulo, proved futile as their phones went unanswered after several attempts
