ZOMBA-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) says will administer deferred Malawi School Certificate of Education Examinations to four candidates, whose already written examination papers were stolen by unknown people, who broke into an examination warehouse at Bulala Community Day secondary school in Mzimba district on Sunday night.
In a press statement made available to The Maravi Post on Tuesday 11, 2023, signed by MANEB Executive Director Professor Dorothy Nampota disclosed that unknown people tampered with 9 envelopes of already written examination papers
They tampered with envelopes for Agriculture Paper 1, Biology Paper 1, English Papers 1, 2, and 3, Mathematics Paper 1 and 2, Social and Life skills papers 1 and 2, while examination scripts for four candidates were stolen from the building.
MANEB is scheduled to conduct the deferred examinations for the four candidates from Thursday, July 13 to Sunday 16, 2023.
National Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya told us on Monday that they are investigating the matter.
