Police in South Africa arrested Justice Lyke Ikachuku, 37, for allegedly holding a woman hostage and forcing her into sex work.

The Captain of the Hawks in Free State Christopher Singo confirmed the news.

According to Capt. Singo the 23-year-old victim started dating the man after he professed his love for her last year and promised her a hair salon and a music studio.

The victim indicated that they went together to his place the same day they met before Ikachuku coerced her to work as a sex slave booking the victim in different guest houses to meet clients.

Ikachuku collected the money every time she received for sexual exploitation.

According to Star, the victim managed to escape after she explained to one of her clients about the incident, who gave her R350 and helped her escape and reported the matter to police.

The case was reported to the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation department for further probing which led to the arrest of Mr Ikachuku.

He appeared at the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on March 1st and he is expected back in court on March 8 for a bail application.
